🌏 Why We Started This Travel Channel (Our Story)

Hi there, and welcome! We’re Maisy and Ken — proud Sydneysiders who have called this city home for over 25 years. We’ve raised our family here, built our lives here, and after travelling extensively around the world, one thing has always stood out to us: we live in one of the most beautiful cities on the planet.

Every time we come home from a trip, whether it’s exploring Europe, trekking through Asia, or road-tripping across the States, Sydney still takes our breath away. The sparkle of the harbour, the curve of the Opera House sails, the laid-back beaches just a stone’s throw from the city… it’s magic. And we want to share that magic with you.

Our Why

We started this channel because we believe Sydney has layers. Sure, everyone knows about the big-ticket attractions — the Harbour Bridge, Bondi Beach, the Opera House. And don’t get us wrong, they’re amazing (we’ll show you plenty of those too).

But Sydney is more than its postcards. It’s the hidden courtyards tucked behind old sandstone pubs. It’s the coastal walks where the Pacific seems endless. It’s the bustling little food markets, the street art in laneways, and the historic cobblestone streets that whisper stories from another time.

We want to help travellers — and even locals — experience the Sydney we know, from the iconic to the unexpected.

The History That Shapes Sydney

Australia as a continent is old. Really old. The oldest surviving cultures in the world have lived here for tens of thousands of years. Sydney, as we know it today, is young by comparison. And as we share our city with you, we want to acknowledge and pay our respects to the First Nations people — past, present, and emerging — who have cared for this land for over 65,000 years.

Understanding Sydney’s history adds another layer to experiencing it. When you stand on The Rocks, when you walk the coastal cliffs, or when you wander through the Botanic Gardens, you’re not just seeing beautiful places — you’re stepping into stories that stretch back through time.
